What are Minecraft Towny Servers?
Minecraft Towny servers are multiplayer survival worlds that use the Towny plugin to provide a system of cities, nations, politics, and territory management. On these servers, players can join an existing city or build their own from scratch. Each city is led by a mayor, who sets internal rules, manages the population, and develops the city's territory. Cities can then form nations, creating large alliances and more complex government structures.
Towny uses a grid based claim system, providing strong territory protection against griefing and interference from other players. The city's interior is safe from dangerous mobs and damage, allowing players to focus on building, trading, and developing their community.
